Tim stumbled across the buck he downed in bow season but was unable to find. The buck made it to a creek bed some 400 yards from the location of shot.

One heck of an evening at Burke Lake. Six bass ranging from 2 to 3lbs and a 4lb channel cat. Tim T. hooked about six bass that shook loose during the fight.

Tim Thompson landed this nice smallie on the New River, despite the huge "professional over-run" of line wrapped around the bass. Evidently when Tim set the hook he hit his fishing partner in the face with the rod, wrapping his line around ears and teeth. Congrats on landing that fish! Tim no longer has a fishing partner.

We're switching to Burke Lake this Sunday, June 7th. Occoquan Reservoir is muddy from all the recent rain. We'll start at 6:00am and fish til 11:00am. See you there.

Tournament this Sunday, June 7th!

Hey everyone - we're fishing the Occoquan Reservoir @ Fountainhead Regional Park this Sunday from 5:30am - 11:00am. There's another bass club fishing the same day. They usually have 25 boats w/ 10hp motors. If we want we can go to Burke Lake instead. Let me know by posting your vote on the blog. Next on the tournament trail is Mountain Run Lake in Culpeper, currently scheduled for Sunday, June 21st. Thanks. -Terry
